Iowans can eat healthy and stick to a tight grocery budget. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s “Spend Smart. Eat Smart.” program is a great resource for households with this goal.
All are invited to join registered dietitian and ISU Extension and Outreach nutrition and wellness specialist Ann Heuer, for a presentation and grocery store tour about learning ways to reduce food expense in menu planning and food shopping. This Spend Smart. Eat Smart at the Grocery Store event is May 15 from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Greene County Extension office- 104 W. Washington St, Jefferson.
